DuPont and Sumitomo Chemical Company Announce Global Seed-Applied Technology Agreement

DES MOINES, Iowa, and WALNUT CREEK, Calif., Dec. 4, 2017 – DuPont and Sumitomo Chemical Company, Limited announced today a global agreement to collaborate on the development, registration and commercialization of seed-applied technologies for use in key crops around the world.

DuPont Pioneer Announces Expansion of 2018 High Oleic Soybean Contracting Program

DES MOINES, Iowa, Nov. 29, 2017 – DuPont Pioneer announced today that farmers will have additional acres available for production contracts of Pioneer® brand Plenish®^ high oleic soybeans for the 2018 growing season. Soybeans contracted under this program will be processed by Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) in Frankfort, Indiana, and a network of elevators, increasing grower access to this value-added market opportunity.

As I reflect on the past year, I’m thankful for the privilege of working for a great company with a talented, dedicated team, all while providing you with sources and ideas for stories to help farmers improve productivity and profitability. I’m also thankful for a new opportunity on the horizon. Starting Dec. 4, I am moving to a new role as the marketing communication manager for Crop Protection’s corn and soybean herbicides. It has been a pleasure working with each and every one of you, and I look forward to reconnecting at trade shows and other industry events.

Arysta LifeScience and DuPont to Collaborate in Global Seed Treatment Deal

CARY, N.C. and JOHNSTON, IOWA (7 November 2017) — Arysta LifeScience, a Platform Specialty Products Company (NYSE:PAH), recently announced that it has initiated a long-term global strategic collaboration with DuPont. Arysta LifeScience will supply to DuPont Crop Protection, a business unit of DowDuPont Agriculture Division, an innovative fungicide technology with an initial focus on corn and soybean seed applied products. Concurrently, DuPont will acquire rights to register, develop and commercialize seed applied products through its seed brands, to third-party seed companies, and ag retailers globally, that include Arysta LifeScience technology. Both companies intend to extend the collaboration to the development of additional products for other crops.

DuPont Pioneer and CHS Inc. (CHS) announced today that CHS Processing and Food Ingredients will offer production contracts for Pioneer® brand Plenish®^ high oleic soybeans for 2018 production in southern Minnesota and northern Iowa. This is the second year CHS is contracting soybeans to be processed at its Fairmont, Minn., plant, increasing grower access to this value-added market opportunity.
